September 7 audit: repairs and remaining gaps
Whole-repository inspection, concrete bug repairs and evidence limits for runtime 0.4.4.
The audit traces the active game, both Discord entry points, account and lab browsers, agents, persistence, builders, tests and public portals. The earlier legacy_lab and Foundations_Toolkit are classified separately as historical code. A passing archived test does not validate a current game feature.
All 72 release requirements now have an individual current disposition and concrete next acceptance work. Eleven central deliverables are implemented, 45 are partial, 12 are unverified and four are absent. These labels describe the central deliverable; none is blanket certification of its full acceptance standard. Read each workstream table for the actual gap.
The combined September audit suite passes 722 test methods and 3,522 subtests without skips. Six isolated browser journeys, including the corrected recipe-selection context, provide 181 checks. A separate eight-check real-process restart drill passes. Exact receipts retain source hashes and timestamps; none of these isolated checks proves live Discord delivery.
Current audit evidence includes all 246 ordinary recipes, 244 eligible measured variants, 157 salvage patterns, 7,776 analytical profession cases, all eight dungeons under an explicit advanced fixture, and eight 24-hour synthetic economy runs. The economies executed 6,426 commands and 198 trades with exact replay and conserved inventory. Provisioned fixtures and accelerated clocks do not prove earned player pacing.
Direct Discord testing observed the private character panel, a Visit form and review, a committed location change and an ordinary South Road journey on the correct Vesperan application. The active journey survived service restart and the reviewed migration; the actual save later records arrival. Full repaired-menu, native mobile, multiplayer and endgame Discord evidence remains incomplete. The signed-in browser connection subsequently became unavailable to the testing tools.
The real gateway and account game now use dedicated services that restart on failure and start at boot. Public status separates a fresh application-matched Discord connection, clock health, HTTP health and process presence. Off-host backups, measured load and a host-loss recovery exercise remain open.
All 28 specialist authors have executed. The latest observed cycle has 29 completed jobs, including one independent review, with two independent reviews waiting for the configured daily budget. Completion is a saved report; its needs_human verdict is not release approval. The live panel supersedes this dated observation. These immutable source packets predate later audit edits; they are not a final-build acceptance review.
The content-detail review finds 24 blank advanced-technique descriptions, 200 generic item descriptions and 229 recipes without explanatory copy. Existing reviewed location/room/minting copy is now shared across player projections; canonical mechanics and stored history remain unchanged. Missing prose is marked pending and remains an editorial task.
Recipe review context now follows the selected recipe: its per-batch inputs, outputs, duration, profession and available description refresh together. The served-browser regression changes from minting to rations, checks the new requirements and confirms that changing the proposal spends nothing.
Reference
| Area | Repaired behavior | Evidence or remaining limit |
|---|---|---|
| Production and custody | Salvage selects real recipe keys; leased equipment cannot enter destructive recipes; reserved equipment is unbound; commission sockets return to their buyer. | Earned starter salvage, catalogue production matrices and custody regressions. |
| Combat and recovery | Explicit ally policy targets survive selection; recovery blocks dungeon joining; capacity imprints and Clean Edge apply; utility actions no longer break the damaging-action oath. | Positive and negative mechanics regressions; all-dungeon fixture is not an earned finale. |
| Returning worlds | Completed projects accept an exact paid personal maintenance bundle without rewriting original construction history. | All six services and an empty-inventory earned-supply test; real saves migrated with pinned hashes and preserved deadlines. |
| Accounts and requests | Concurrent bad logins share an atomic admission limit; malformed JSON argument shapes receive ordinary rule errors; unhealthy clocks fail health probes. | Concurrent admission and all-action argument-boundary regressions. |
| Discord and browsers | Profession-scoped objectives, complete review pagination, in-place private navigation, expert detail pagination, retained form drafts and accessible narrow-client sign-out. | Real SDK callbacks and isolated Chromium checks; full after-fix Discord and native mobile rehearsal still needed. |
| Tools and operations | Exclusive consistent backups, exact story migration pins, current-source candidate imports, deterministic audit rebuild overlay and complete test collection. | Focused snapshot/migration/backup regressions and the current-source verifier. |
| Historical builders and displayed copy | Historical builder imports are inert and require new external outputs; reviewed location/room/minting descriptions are applied across player views. | Exact baseline-byte and safe-output checks, plus targeted player-projection/HTTP/browser checks. Missing instructional copy remains listed above. |
